I grew up in southern California and after graduating high school, migrated north to attend UC Berkeley. I then spent several years in central and northern California, but ultimately decided that short trips to visit family in Washington just wasn't enough. I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest, took a leap, and relocated to Seattle.

I have worked in content development, program management, animal training, and zoo/aquarium education for many years and am passionate about what I have been able to accomplish in those diverse arenas.

Apart from my work, my other loves include international travel, sustainable seafood, swimming, baking, hunting for vintage, and volunteering at a rescue for retired racing greyhounds. I spend most of my time with my ridiculously awesome husband, Tanem, and our furry babies.

Humanity is exalted not because we are so far above other living creatures,
but because knowing them well elevates the very concept of life.
